Perdie is an experienced and respected Head of Programme, widely recognised in the London tech ecosystem with a passion for startups and business growth. Currently co-founder of Spice Startups, she has worked in the London startup ecosystem for over six years, first at a scaling tech startup, then a charity-accelerator, and most recently for three years at community space TechHub where she ran TechHub's world-leading growth programme. She has a degree in business, a masters in Entrepreneurship, and started her first business aged 17 which saw her through University. Perdie's expertise is organising, networking and connecting. 

 

In her previous role, she organised and hosted over 200 events/classes each year to accelerate the growth of scaling tech founders, alongside key players in the tech ecosystem. Events included large flagship demo days and fireside chats (which she hosted alongside Spice co-founder Margaret Anne), and more intimate community focussed workshops and 1:1 intros. As a result of her 6 years of networking, her little black book includes over 80 investor contacts, corporates and service providers looking to connect with and work with startups, high-profile ecosystem heroes, and lots and lots of scaling tech founders.

Prior to co-founding Spice Startups, Margaret Anne was the Programme Coordinator at TechHub, a globally recognised workspace and community for tech startups in London. During this time, alongside Spice co-founder Perdie Alder, she helped organise and facilitate TechHub's 200+ events per year which included weekly investor coffee intros, angel networking events, office hours with key figures in the tech ecosystem, running Demo Night in partnership with Google for Startups and Fireside Chats with guests such as Scott Kupor, managing partner of Andreeseen Horowitz.  On the side, Margaret Anne also launched a podcast mini series, interviewing key experts in the luxury fashion industry on the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation.

 

Margaret Anne holds a degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Westminster, previously studied Computer Science at the University of San Diego and studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome.
